ISOLATION BABY….

WHAT A CRAZY TIME! I had just finished teaching my Russian Lash Course, I only had a few weeks left in my pregnancy, I remember thinking, what idiot actually books in all these lash courses in heavily pregnant? Of course me! Corona was a thing in March, but towards the end I noticed shops etc closing, so I closed my business. I cancelled all my clients, I cancelled my lash courses, anxiety went through the roof, I had someone who had booked all the way from Germany, she had booked her flight (luckily all flights eventually cancelled so it wasn’t an issue in the end). I was about to have a baby in a Pandemic!! THE WORLD HAS GONE MAD! I’m self employed, who is gonna pay my wages, how will I pay my bills? Two weeks later i really did miss lashing, so I pulled trusty old Linda out (mannequin head) and had bit of a play around with new curls, (L curl, dream lash to work with by the way, COMING SOON) which then led me to making strip lashes for girls all over the UK & US! Let me tell you, creating strip lashes are an absolute nightmare, patience was running low, I was aching, I wasn’t sleeping very well I had four weeks of pregnancy left, I had over 30 to make LOL, I stopped promoting the nightmare strips but those orders were coming through thick & fast, still are, they have even been now added to my website for girls to purchase. Isn’t it amazing how we NEED lash extensions, out of all the beauty appointments I have, my lash apps are deffo the ones I’m missing the most! I never thought I’d have to stop working due to a deadly virus, to start making strip lashes because us girls literally NEED lashes so badly. Strip lashes have flooded Instagram and I’ve seen some absolutely amazing sets regardless how much of a ballache they are to create. I already have a four year old, an energetic one at that, we have baked (way too much), we have painted, drawn & chalked, made playdough, grew caterpillars, played hide & seek, made dens, wow the list goes on. But I have loved every single minute with my little guy, I wanted to have some really fun times with him before his little brother rocked up, which he did, 3 WEEKS EARLY! It was a Saturday & I had these awful pains, ignored them, they got worse, I was halfway through a set of mega volume strip lashes, I was panicking.. 30 hours later my baby boy was here. I can honestly say lock down has been unreal. Without this i’d have been back to work in a matter of days after his birth LOL, my partner can stay at home with us and we’ve been able to enjoy this time as a family & we have had the most fun, it’s been amazing. He’s now 2 months old & things are becoming a little more relaxed! It was really easy to finish the rest of my strip lashes whilst he was newborn, a few weeks passed and less hours of sleeping have begun.. I decided I should probably start my online courses.. I am very good at typing, I am very good at talking human ears off, but having someone video me while I talk, harder than it sounds. Something I thought would take two days took about four weeks ha, I blame a hungry breast fed baby & busy body four year old, but finally they are LIVE on the website & the response has been fabulous, a massive weight has been lifted. On to the next, Wispy & Mega Volume lash courses. Big things are coming for 2020/21! Anyway, I hope lock down has been as enjoyable for you, as it has me. As a lash tech think of all the amazing lash sets were gonna do (if we haven’t forgot LOL). Think about all the conversations we are going to have, all the stories were going to hear!
